On top of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Jordan, Engel & Volkers Middle East has successfully added Qatar to their real estate network. The expansion will invigorate Engel & Volkers's regional growth and further boost business leads and revenue for the company.

Located 100 miles into the Persian Gulf from Saudi Arabia, Qatar's national income primarily derives from oil and natural gas exports. The place's wealth and standard of living compare well with those of Western European states that it has one of the highest GDP per capita in the Arab World.

Following the success of the Asian Games, Doha, the capital of Qatar, kicked off its official bid to host the 2016 Summer Olympics in October of 2007. Qatar also plans to build an "entertainment city" in the future. The place is aiming to become a role model for economic and social transformation in the region. Large scale investment in all social and economic sectors will also lead to the development of a strong financial market.

"This is a strategic expansion of Engel & Volkers into the Middle East. Engel & Volkers is one of the biggest European Real Estate Company, and its professionalism and European style are increasingly recognized by the Middle East market. The partnership of Ali Sayid Taimour and Faisal Al Mana as our License Partners in Qatar will address the booming economy of the region," said Engel & Volkers Head Office Middle East Director Sebastian Wels.
