Following the success of the Asian Games, Doha, the capital of Qatar, kicked off its official bid to host the 2016 Summer Olympics in October of 2007. Qatar also plans to build an "entertainment city" in the future. The place is aiming to become a role model for economic and social transformation in the region. Large scale investment in all social and economic sectors will also lead to the development of a strong financial market.

"This is a strategic expansion of Engel & Volkers into the Middle East. Engel & Volkers is one of the biggest European Real Estate Company, and its professionalism and European style are increasingly recognized by the Middle East market.
